Update Drivers Nvidia Windows 10Unfortunately Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 have problems with professional line graphic adapter on Dell Precision laptops (Nvidia Quadro/ATI FirePro). They are wrongly detected, sometimes as consumer cards, and the preinstalled DELL specific, stable drivers are replaced by Microsoft generic drivers that bluescreen a lot. Unfortunately the new generic NVIDIA drivers of Win 8.1 already bluescreens during installation (while correctly installed other drivers work stable in Win8). So I’m searching for a way to upgrade Win8 to Win8.1, but keep the (stable) Dell recommended drivers during upgrade. I already tried to install the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter drivers, hoping Win8.1 upgrade would keep it, so I can install the right drivers afterwards. Unfortunately the upgrade program was not so smart. It seems to dishonor all previous Win8 driver installations.
